'Inbred' Muslim warning
"A GOVERNMENT Minister last night sparked outrage by claiming inbreeding among immigrant Muslims was causing birth defects."
"Environment Minister Phil Woolas said arranged marriages among first cousins was causing genetic problems.
"Any primary care worker will tell you that levels of disability among the Pakistani population are higher than the general population."
""That's a cultural thing rather than a religious thing."
Mr Woolas said there needed to be a debate among the Muslim community about the problem, but said it was being ignored because many community leaders were the product of first marriages."
